Webinars & Events
Attend a free webinar to learn more about the Birth Alerts BC Class Action, the proposed settlement, and the Claims Process. Sessions are hosted online and open to all class members.
Understanding the proposed settlement
A 60-minute session for class members, presented by Class Counsel, CFM Lawyers LLP, with time for questions and answers. This session covers the proposed settlement, who may be included, and a step by step of the Claim Form.
You do not need to decide anything before or during this session. We are currently in the Notice and Opt Out Period, which gives class members time to learn about the proposed settlement and ask questions.
The Court will hold the Settlement Approval Hearing on December 4, 2026, to decide whether to approve the proposed settlement.
If approved, the deadline for Claims submissions will be set after the Settlement Approval Hearing.
Before you join
This topic may bring up difficult feelings or memories. The session will be recorded and attendees can stay off camera/microphone, so you can step away at any time. We will not ask attendees to share personal stories during the session.
This webinar provides general information only. It is not legal advice, and presenters cannot comment on individual Claims.
Need support along the way? You can speak with a Claims Helper for free about the proposed settlement and your options. Claims Helpers are trained to provide trauma-informed and culturally safe support. They understand settlements can be complex and know how to help you move through the process.
