Is the Birth Alerts BC Class Action real?

Yes, the Birth Alerts BC Class Action is real. Information about the settlement, including court documents and contact information, is available here on the official website (www.BirthAlertsBC.ca).

Like many class actions, you may come across websites, emails, or people claiming to be connected to the settlement. Not all of them are legitimate.

Contact from the Administrator or Claims Helpers

The Claims Administrator or a Claims Helper may contact you if they need more information to review your Claim. This may be to clarify details, ask for something missing, or confirm part of your Claim Form. This is a normal part of the process and does not mean something is wrong.

Real communication from the Administrator or Claims Helpers will never ask you to pay money or provide banking information to access the settlement.

Ways scammers may try to reach you

Scammers may try to reach class members in different ways, including:

Phone calls or voicemails
Claiming you are owed money and asking for personal or banking information
Text messages
With links to unofficial websites
Emails
That look official but do not come from a BirthAlertsBC.ca address
Letters
By mail asking you to send money or documents somewhere other than the Claims Administrator
Messages or comments on social media
Including from accounts or pages that are not the official Birth Alerts BC Class Action page
Fake websites
Made to look like the official settlement website
AI technology
Scammers can use artificial intelligence (AI) to create fake videos, photos, voices, or websites that look and sound real, even when they aren’t.

If you’re not sure whether something is real, do not click links, reply, or share information. Please contact us first to be sure.

Claims Helpers provide free support. You will never be asked to pay to submit a Claim.
Be cautious if someone asks you to pay money or share banking information to access the settlement.
If you’re unsure whether a message or request is legitimate, contact us before sharing any personal information.
